The short version
MythicNames is a free name generator. Everything you generate — names, characters, campaigns, favourites — is stored in your own browser's localStorage and never sent to us. We don't have accounts, we don't collect emails, and we don't have a server database.
Cookies and similar tech
Two third-party services can set cookies here, and only with your consent:
- Google AdSense — shows the ads that keep the site free. With consent, Google may use cookies to personalise ads. Without consent, ads are non-personalised.
- Google Analytics — tells us which generators people actually use so we know what to improve. Without consent, no analytics cookies are set.
Until you make a choice in the cookie banner, both are treated as declined (Google Consent Mode v2). You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Changing your mind
Your choice is stored in your browser. Change it any time:
What we store locally
Name history, favourites, campaigns and your theme preference live in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data removes them. We never see them.
